When we launched Injaz, I had two big goals: to create the opportunities we never had as a Sudanese growing up in Toronto and to bring our community closer together. Whether you’re looking for support or looking for a way to give back, let’s connect and build something great together.

Born in Toronto and raised in Sudan, I’ve experienced the challenges of living in both worlds and the transition between them. My goal is to support others through similar journeys and create opportunities I never had.​

Media has the power to transmit information and ideas easily, and the creation of it has always been a huge passion of mine. Through working on Injazs social media team I hope to help connect the Sudanese Canadian community and create fruitful work thats engaging and thought provoking.

Husam is a mental health worker and community organizer who is passionate about decreasing barriers to community and mental healthcare for the Sudanese community both in Toronto and in the Diaspora. He is excited to be a part of InjazTO’s mission to support young Sudanis in the pursuits of their dreams, goals, and injazat.​​​

I’m an OT with a deep understanding of African culture and a passion for helping newcomers navigate life in Canada. As a third-culture kid, I know firsthand the challenges of cultural transitions, and I use that experience to support international students and newcomers in adapting, thriving, and feeling at home.​​​​​​​​

With a background in sales, marketing, and brand building, I’m a results-driven individual who thrives on creating innovative solutions and driving growth. At my core, I am Sudanese, and by being privileged to be Canada it shaped me into someone who is committed to building bridges and creating opportunities.
